Cutting back vegetation along the paths & litter picking

The dawn chorus is the symphony of song performed by birds. Community Rangers & volunteers enjoyed a special early morning walk .

With all the buzzing bees and fluttering butterflies about, we're excited to plant lots of native wildflowers for them.

It was a frosty and sunny morning for our first volunteer session of 2025. We met at Hendre Lake for a hay rake at one of the parks meadows.

7 volunteers, including 2 new faces, joined the Park Ranger to help open up the pathways of this park

16 volunteers joined Rhodri the Park Ranger raking recently cut vegetation in our woodland glade area and then planting some spring bulbs .

6 of us met with our Park Ranger at Hendre Lake to cut back a lot of encroaching bramble at one of our meadows

Community Park Rangers take a tour around the lake using bat detectors to discover the bats feeding at the lakeside.

12 volunteers braced the rain on Saturday morning to help look after our local Ancient Woodlands, Cath Cobb Woods .

We returned to our Ancient Woodlands this morning, Cath Cobb Woods, in the glorious sunshine to cut back along the pathways.
