We returned to Beech Tree Park to cut back and clear vegetation.

It's Autumn and what better time than to spend our October volunteer session in our Ancient Woodlands, Cath Cobb Woods. We'll be at our local woodlands on Saturday 18th October for some vegetation management. Tasks will include cutting back scrub and vegetation.

Our next volunteer session will be at the Hendre Lake western glade site, for some scrub management

Community Park Rangers take a tour around the lake using bat detectors to discover the bats feeding at the lakeside.

Cutting back vegetation from along the path north of the War Memorial at Hendre Lake & removing an old Rylock fence.

CVST teaming up with the Cardiff Rivers Group to litter pick the woods and also cut back vegetation encroaching the pathways.

The dawn chorus is the symphony of song performed by birds. Community Rangers & volunteers enjoyed a special early morning walk .

With all the buzzing bees and fluttering butterflies about, we're excited to plant lots of native wildflowers for them.

It was a frosty and sunny morning for our first volunteer session of 2025. We met at Hendre Lake for a hay rake at one of the parks meadows.

7 volunteers, including 2 new faces, joined the Park Ranger to help open up the pathways of this park

16 volunteers joined Rhodri the Park Ranger raking recently cut vegetation in our woodland glade area and then planting some spring bulbs .
