Who we are and how to contact us

Conservation Volunteers of St Mellons and Trowbridge is a not-for-profit organisation run by an elected committee of volunteers. We work alongside the Cardiff Council Park Ranger Service to help protect and maintain several sites within our boundary. These sites are outlined in our constitution.

What information we collect and use, and how we use it

We collect or use the following personal information as part of volunteer recruitment, administration and management:

We will use this information to contact you about events and volunteer days, and to send you communications that we believe are relevant to your interests.

Consent - we have permission from you after we gave you all the relevant information. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Legitimate interest – we will send you things that help promote and further our work across CVST sites, as well as wider conservation events and information.
Where we get personal information from

We collect your information directly from you. Only committee members will have access to your information.
How long we keep information
​
We will retain the information we hold about you for as long as appropriate for the relevant activity (e.g. for as long as you wish to remain a volunteer), or until you ask us to remove it.

The CVST website and any external websites we link to may use cookies. These are small pieces of information sent to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow a website to recognise when you are viewing it.
Although cookies collect general statistical data about your browsing actions, the do not identify you as an individual.
