Dawn Chorus Walk Hendre Lake Sun 26th April 2026 4.30am - 6.30am (ticketed event)

We held a Dawn Chorus Walk last weekend at Hendre Lake. Our bird listener and park rangers led the walk around our beautiful lake very early on Sunday morning but it was worth the early alarm to hear the birds singing at their best, as the chorus got louder and louder.

We were very lucky with the weather and it was fabulous to watch the sunrise whilst listening to the chorus.

We had a very insightful talk about birds from our member Lee and all 21 attendees thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Thank you all for joining us. We look forward to organising the walk again next year, it is a special event that is worth experiencing.
