Hedgerows, farmland, gardens and parks

 

Food Source
Caterpillars feed on  members of the cabbage family although it relies less on cultivated varieties hence  breeding on a range of wild foodplants.

A Bit About Me

Often referred to as Cabbage White butterflies. 

 

In the UK  they  produce  two generations  a year and during the summer months their number are boosted by migrants from mainland Europe.

 

They fly between March and October.

Identification

White butterflies, fairly small with brilliant white wings, small black tips to the forewings and one or two wing spots. The undersides are a creamy white.
