Food Source
Caterpillars feed on clovers, restharrow, common bird's-foot trefoil and related plants.

Adults feed on clovers, Common Bird's-foot-trefoil, knapweeds, ragworts, thistles, vetches and Wild Thyme.​​

A Bit About Me
The common blue is a small bright blue butterfly. The Common Blue is the most widespread blue butterfly in the UK and produces two generations a year but if the weather is warm there can be up to three. They take flight throughout the summer between April and October.
Identification
The male common blue has brightly coloured blue wings with a brown border and white fringe but females are more brown coloured with a blue shading near the body The common blue has orange spots on the underside of its hindwings
